Bekal is a city in the state of Karnataka in southern India. It is known as the capital city of the Bekal district and has an estimated population of 575,000 people. The city's name is derived from "Belaku", which means "land" in Sanskrit. Bekal was founded by Vijaya Rama Raya in 1535 CE and became an important trading centre along with other cities such as Davangere and Hampi during that period.
Bekal's Weather is tropical, with a mean temperature of 23°C and an annual rainfall of 1,200mm. The city enjoys a hot, humid climate throughout the year.

Bekal is a city in the state of Karnataka, India. It is the administrative headquarters of Bekal Taluk. It is located at a distance of about 1.5 km from the banks of the Tungabhadra River. The area surrounding this place was ruled by Cholas and Pallavas during their reigns over southern part of Karnataka region.[3][4]
Bekal has been known as "Bīkāl" since ancient times,[5] which means “fertile river” in Kannada language.[6] It was also known as Belakulam (in Telugu)[7]. In ancient times, it was called Vishnupuri and Vishnapura.[8]

The highest peak of the district, Gajapati Peak at 3102 m above sea level, which offers scenic views of the Eastern Ghats.
Singachila Lake (Bekal's largest lake), an ideal picnic spot with facilities like boating etc., located just below Singachila Dam (one of the largest dams in Odisha). It has been declared as one among seven Ramsar sites by UNESCO because it provides water resources for fisheries and also helps conserve biodiversity through extensive plantings around its periphery as well as through conservation efforts such as protecting wild animals from poachers who hunt them down for their pelts or meat!
Bekal Fort is located in Bekal village. It was built in 1663 by the Sultan of Ahmadnagar, Muhammad Shah II, as part of his efforts to consolidate his control over the area. The fort has been named after this ruler because it was constructed on top of an earlier fortress built by him at nearby Devgadh Baria (Devgadh Baria Fort).
The fort is made up of two main parts; one being a rectangular citadel with four bastions on each side and another complex within which are several buildings including barracks and residential quarters for soldiers etc., along with stables where horses were kept during battle season or when they had to travel long distances away from their home base camp where food supplies could be obtained from local markets such as Ujani or Deori Malwa villages nearby villages like Khandawali & Dhewa taluka respectively

The best time to visit Bekal is during the monsoon season. The weather is warm and humid, which makes it great for enjoying a sunny day at the beach or swimming in a sea pool. The other accommodation options include homestays, guesthouses and resorts. The best time to visit is from June through October because it’s cooler during this period but still warm enough for swimming in the sea or taking part in water sports such as scuba diving or snorkeling!
Bekal has a well-developed public transportation system. The city has two bus stations, one for buses traveling to the east and west of town, and another for those going north or south. Taxis are available 24/7 at each station, and they come in different colors (orange, yellow or green) as well as sizes (smaller cars can accommodate up to four passengers). In addition to taxis, bicycles are also an option if you want something more environmentally friendly than a car or bus ride!
Bekal offers a variety of options for you to enjoy. If you are looking to visit Bekal during the monsoon season, it is best to avoid visiting this place as it can be very dangerous and risky. Also, if you want to avoid getting sick during your trip then make sure that you take enough rest days in between so that your immune system does not get fatigued.
