If you’re looking for budget accommodation in Poovar, there are several options available.
Hotels: The most popular option is to stay at one of the hotels that are located on the beachfront. These hotels will usually have their own restaurant and bar, allowing you to enjoy a meal or drink while enjoying your day at the beach. They also tend to be family-friendly and have child care services if needed during your stay there!
Guesthouses: Another option would be staying at a guesthouse instead of an actual hotel room—this can help save money on lodging costs since it doesn't include food (though some do offer breakfast). Guesthouses offer more privacy than hotels do because they don't always allow guests who don't book through them into their premises; however, this means less chance of meeting other travelers from around the world who may want help finding things nearby like restaurants instead!
There are many food items that you must try in Poovar. These include:
Pork curry, fish curry, chicken curry and mutton curry (tandoori) are the most popular dishes.
You can find veg dishes like eggplant bhaji or aloo gobi at most restaurants. They also offer papad and chutney which will make your meal even more delicious!
If you're traveling with a small budget, Poovar is a great place to go. You can get there by plane, train or bus — but if you're looking for something more personal than that, then we recommend renting a car from Chennai (about $78 USD) and driving yourself there.
If you want to save some money on your trip but still want to see some of the same sights as tourists do when they visit India's beaches, then consider taking an auto-rickshaw instead. Auto-rickshaws are cheap and easy ways for locals who don't have much money at all but still want their fill of adventure! They'll take everyone from small children up through senior citizens; just make sure not to ask them not too many questions while they're driving because they might not know as much English as expected (but don't worry—they'll probably understand enough).
Exploring Poovar on foot is free and there are many ways to explore Poovar on foot. You can walk around the town by yourself or with friends, but if you want to see more than just the main streets, it may be best to hire a taxi driver who can take you off-road and show you some hidden gems.

The Gandhi statue (often referred to as “The Gandhi Memorial”) is located at the northern end of Poovar Beach Road. This statue was built in remembrance of Mahatma Gandhi who visited this area during his trip back from South Africa where he had just been released from prison after being incarcerated for six years due to protests against British rule over India at that time period. It was erected by local residents who worked hard throughout their lives so they could afford such an extravagant memorial tribute!
There are many other interesting landmarks around town including St Mary’s Church which dates back over 400 years old; however only remnants remain today due largely because it wasn't spared during World War II when bombs were dropped all around them every night until 1945 when they finally surrendered (this means no bomb disposal teams were sent out). Another popular spot within walking distance from this area would be Gandhiji Maika Church because several pilgrims travel here annually during festivals such as Christmas day when they pray inside while others come later on into January when prayers continue until February 15th before ending again sometime after Easter Sunday itself ends up happening next year...
