Pulicat is a small town located in the state of Orissa, India. It is known for its picturesque beauty and history as well as its proximity to Visakhapatnam city. The Pulicat Lake Bird Sanctuary is one of the most popular destinations in this area due to its many species of birds that fly here from all over India during migration season.
Pulicat Lake Bird Sanctuary is a nesting ground for over 100 species of birds, including the endangered spot-billed pelican. The lake is also home to other aquatic creatures such as turtles, snakes and fish.
The sanctuary has several walking trails that allow you to view the beautiful scenery around you while enjoying nature at its finest.
Pulicat Beach is a beautiful beach and you can see the Bay of Bengal from here. The Pulicat Lake, which is located in the middle of this beach, is also visible from here. In addition to that, you can enjoy an excellent view of Dutch Cemetery on this beach as well.
The Dutch Cemetery is located in Pulicat village, about 15 kilometers from Chennai. It can be reached by bus or car.
The cemetery was established in 1723 and has more than 3,000 graves of Dutch soldiers who died during their stay at Pulicat Fort (now a museum) between 1660–1680. The visiting hours are from 9 am to 4 pm on Sundays only; on other days it is closed.
Pulicat Lake is one of the most popular places to visit in South India. The lake is surrounded by dense forests and hillocks, which makes it an ideal place for wildlife viewing and bird watching. If you want to take a boat ride on the lake, there are many private boats that can take you around.
A good way to enjoy this area is by hiring a boat ride with your own crew of two or three people who will entertain yourself while you relax on board as they show off their knowledge about local culture and history through stories while keeping an eye out for animals like deer, monkeys or even elephants roaming around nearby areas!
The Pulicat Fort, which was built by the Dutch in the 17th century, is located on the west side of Lake Pichola. It is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and a popular tourist destination. The fort has been restored to its former glory and now houses an art gallery that showcases local paintings as well as exhibits from other parts of India and Europe. If you are looking for a peaceful retreat away from city life, then this place can be just what you need!
One of the best ways to experience local cuisine is by eating at a restaurant. There are many restaurants in Pulicat that serve local food, so it's worth trying them all!
If you want to eat out but don't know where or what to go for, here are some suggestions:
Try different seafood dishes. It's possible that there will be a lot of choices if you're in town for longer than just a few days. If not, then try street food stalls instead - these usually have cheaper options than restaurants (but still have their own unique flavor!). They might even let you sample an item before ordering it off the menu so that way if there's something better coming up later on down the road...
Pulicat Lake is a large lake located in the state of Tamil Nadu, India. It is one of the most beautiful places to go on vacation and relax. The area surrounding Pulicat Lake is known for its tranquility, making it a great place to spend time with your family or friends after hard work has been done for the day.
The lake itself has many attractions that can be enjoyed by all ages: there are beaches where you can swim in shallow waters; there are restaurants where you can have tasty food at reasonable prices; there are hotels in Pulicat where you can stay overnight if needed; and lastly but not least...there's fishing!
Explore the village. Pulicat is a very small town and you can walk around it in about 15 minutes. It's a nice place to visit for some time, especially if you're interested in Indian culture.
Meet the locals. When you're there, take advantage of the opportunity to meet some of those who live there! They will be happy to share their stories and show off their homes with you.
Learn about local culture: The community here is very traditional; they practice many different religions but all follow similar customs as well as traditions that date back hundreds of years when they were first founded by Pandiyan kings who ruled over southern India until 1477 AD when this area became part of Portuguese rule until 1797 when it was ceded back under British control after several wars took place between them during this period (including one against Tipu Sultan).
If you're interested in space, the Satish Dhawan Space Centre is a great place to visit. The centre is home to the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO), where scientists work on launching satellites and rockets into space. There are several attractions at this location including an unmanned launch pad where visitors can see rockets being tested before they are sent off into orbit.
The Satish Dhawan Space Centre also offers visitors tours around their facilities; these include watching astronauts put on their spacesuits or taking photos of rockets being launched from atop an aircraft carrier (which makes it possible for them to take off straight up).
Enjoy a beautiful sunset at Pulicat Beach. This is one of the most popular tourist attractions in South India, and it's easy to see why: the beach is pristine and has a great vibe. The area also has some amazing temples that are worth exploring if you have time on your hands!
Take a guided tour of Pulicat Lake and learn about its history, ecology, and importance to the local community. The lake is fed by two rivers that converge at its center: the Varada River flows eastward from nearby Chintapalli village; while the Karadigudem River originates in Andhra Pradesh state. These two rivers meet in the middle of Pulicat Lake, creating an extensive wetland ecosystem that supports diverse wildlife species such as crocodiles and monkeys.
Pulicat Lake has been historically important for its role as a trading route between coastal areas around South India and interior regions such as Tamil Nadu or Kerala state due to its strategic location on trade routes between Tamil Nadu's ports along India's east coast (which include Tuticorin) with those located further inland along India's west coast toward Mumbai port city at India's west end near Goa peninsula
Sriharikota Island, which is home to the Satish Dhawan Space Centre, is a popular tourist destination. The space centre is located near the town of Sullurpeta and can be reached by ferry or plane from Chennai or Kolkata. You will see many satellites being launched into orbit here every year.
Sullurpeta is a small town in Andhra Pradesh, located about 40km from Pulicat Lake. The town has many temples and churches that you can visit on your trip to Sullurpeta.
It's a good place to visit if you are looking for a quiet getaway with plenty of greenery and nature surrounding you!
Buy local handicrafts and souvenirs at the Pulicat Bazaar.
Eat local food and drinks, including kathal kali, a spicy soup made with pumpkin seeds, gojju (a sweet made from tamarind) and chutney.
Buy clothes made by artisans in rural areas who use natural dyes to create colorful designs on cotton fabrics.
Buy books written by authors from these areas or those who have lived there for long periods of time. These books are often very personal accounts of life in rural India or even stories about traditions that were passed down from generation to generation through oral history recordings before being written down again later on paperbacks like this one I'm holding right now! If you're interested in learning more about these tales before reading them yourself then go ahead—there's no harm done! Just don't forget your headphones because we'll soon be discussing something else important later today so stay tuned..
