The BR Hills Wildlife Sanctuary is home to a variety of wildlife including tigers, leopards, elephants, sloth bears and deer. These animals are protected by the Indian government and visitors are allowed to see them at close range. The sanctuary also supports research studies that help scientists better understand these species' behavior and ecology.
Trekking: The hills offer a range of trekking trails for nature enthusiasts. Trails range from short walks to longer hikes, and they are well marked. You can choose your own pace, whether you want to walk slowly or run up steep inclines. The trails are suitable for all ages and fitness levels, but be sure to wear comfortable shoes so you don't get tired out easily! Hebbe Falls and Kalhatti Falls are two waterfalls that can be found in the Bharat Hills. The Hebbe Falls is a beautiful waterfall located near Bharatpur, while the Kalhatti Falls is also located in this region.
The Hebbefall has been named after an ancient Hindu warrior-king who fought against invaders from central Asia during his reign. It has been said that he used to bathe here before heading out on raids into enemy territory. Today, it's still possible to see how much of an impact Ganges had on him—the pool at this waterfall looks like a large lake covered with green vegetation!
The region is inhabited by various indigenous tribes, providing a unique opportunity to experience their culture and way of life. The tribal people have been living in this area for centuries as they have adapted to the harsh environment.

The Biligiri Rangaswamy Temple was built in 1745 AD by King Raja Venkatappa Nayaka (also known as Venkatappayya). This king was born into an illustrious family known as "Bhadraghosha" which means "the son of Bhadraghosha". He ruled until 1760 when he passed away at age 38.
