Chikmagalur is a beautiful city with a rich history and culture. It is located in the south-eastern part of Karnataka and has many tourist attractions that are worth visiting. The city has many coffee estates where you can learn about the coffee-making process from farmers who grow beans on their farms. There are also several other activities that you can do while vacationing in this region, such as trekking or visiting temples.
Chikmagalur is known for its coffee plantations, and a visit to one of them is a must-do activity. You can take a tour of the plantation and learn about the coffee-making process.
You will also get to enjoy some traditional beverages with your family or friends, such as chai kulfi (a delicious ice cream), mung dal halwa (a sweet dessert made from lentils), masala chai (hot Indian tea) or cardamom cookies!
You can trek to Mullayanagiri, which is the highest peak in Karnataka. The trek is challenging but worth it, as you will be rewarded with stunning views of the surrounding area. You can also visit Rangaswamy Betta, which is a small mountain peak overlooking the town. It offers a great view of Chikmagalur and its surroundings.

The falls are located on the tributary of the Kaveri river. You can also see a wide variety of birds at this place. Visit Shivanasamudra Falls Shivanasamudra Falls is a popular tourist spot in Chikmagalur. The waterfall is located on the tributary of the Cauvery River, which flows through Karnataka and Tamil Nadu.
Kemmanagundi is a popular hill station in Chikmagalur. You can visit the gardens, waterfalls and enjoy the scenic beauty of the hills.

Visit the Bhadra Wildlife Sanctuary: The Bhadra Wildlife Sanctuary is home to many species of animals including tigers, leopards, elephants, and deer. You can take a safari tour of the sanctuary to see the animals.
Visit Chikmagalur town: Chikmagalur town is an important destination in Karnataka as it has many attractions like museums and Chikmagalur Temples and pilgrimage sites. The town has a rich history that dates back to ancient times when it was considered one of India's prime trade routes between northern India and southern India. Nowadays there are plenty of restaurants serving traditional Indian food and such as mutton curry or chicken biryani at reasonable prices but most importantly you'll find accommodation options if you want something more luxurious than your average guesthouse!
The Kudremukh National Park is a must-visit place for nature lovers. You can take a trekking tour of Chikmagalur Gardens and parks and enjoy the scenic beauty of the hills.

Jhari Waterfalls is a popular tourist spot in Chikmagalur. You can take a dip in the cold waters of the falls and enjoy the scenic beauty of the surroundings. The water flow from these falls runs down through a ravine into an artificial lake, which provides excellent views of nature at its best.
The Jhari Falls are located about 25 km from Chikmagalur town on NH 12A, which leads to Shimoga City (about 100 km).

The temple was built by King Bhagirath Raja who ruled over Chikmagalur sometime around 700 AD until he died during an attack by Huns on his kingdom in 743 AD A local legend says that each year when his wife Rani Parvathi visits him she takes three days to travel here so she can spend time at her husband's shrine before returning home again
