Events and festivals are held throughout Dalhousie during summer months. You can find them at many different venues such as parks, beaches, markets and other public spaces where people can gather together for fun activities like picnics or games for kids!

"Dalhousie Summer Jazz Fest" showcasing local and regional jazz musicians.

The Dalhousie Jazz Fest is a month-long celebration of music, arts and culture that takes place in the summer. It was founded by jazz musician Andrew Duthie who wanted to create an event that would showcase local and regional talent while also providing an opportunity for people to get out and enjoy themselves.

"Winter Wonderland" event with ice skating, snowshoeing, and hot cocoa.

This winter festival is held in Dalhousie, Nova Scotia and it takes place during the month of December. The event features ice skating, snowshoeing and hot chocolate. There are also live performances by local artists and artisans who will be selling their work at this event.

"Dalhousie Film Festival" is a film festival that showcases local and international films. The festival is held at the Dalhousie University Campus in Halifax, Nova Scotia.

The Dalhousie Film Festival was founded in 2002 by Dr. Ann-Sophie Desmarais (a professor at Dalhousie University). The first festival took place on June 9th 2002 with 15 films being shown over 3 days at the Student Union Building on campus during lunchtime hours.

The second annual event was held on June 17th 2003 with 16 films selected from submissions made by filmmakers around North America who wanted their work screened at this unique event!

The third annual event took place on May 27th 2004 where there were 16 shortlisted films chosen from over 600 submissions received nationwide during its first year alone!

"Dalhousie Arts and Crafts Fair" featuring handmade items from local artisans.

Dalhousie Arts and Crafts Fair is a local arts and crafts fair that takes place every year in October at the Dalhousie Farmers' Market. The event features a variety of handmade items from local artisans, including:

"Dalhousie Agricultural Fair" showcasing local farmers and their produce.

Dalhousie Agricultural Fair is a two-day event held at the Dalhousie Agricultural Fairgrounds. It's a family-friendly event and a great opportunity to meet farmers and learn about their produce.

The fair features:

Exhibitors showing off their wares, including homemade jams, jellies and preserves;

Food vendors selling hot dogs, hamburgers and more;

Live music throughout both days;

Children's activities (including face painting) throughout both days;

"Fall Colors Festival" with guided hikes and nature walks to enjoy the autumn foliage.

This fall, the Dalhousie Fall Colors Festival will have guided hikes and nature walks to enjoy the autumn foliage. The festival is scheduled for October 4-5 at the Dalhousie Farmer's Market (1121 Fife Road, Halifax).

The event celebrates Canada's 150th anniversary with activities including a traditional powwow, live music from local bands and drummers, vendors selling food and crafts, photography workshops for adults or children alike, activities for kids like face painting stations or games of chance at our gaming tent!

"Halloween Bash" with a costume contest, haunted house, and trick-or-treating.

Halloween Bash is a fun event for kids and adults. It’s a great way to get in the holiday spirit, and it’s an opportunity to dress up in a costume and have fun with friends. "New Year's Eve Bash" with live music, dancing, and a countdown to midnight.

The New Year's Eve Bash is a celebration of the end of the year, and it's sure to be an exciting one. This event will feature live music from a variety of local acts, including Bhandari Band and DJ Nitro. There will also be dancing, so you can get your heart rate up before midnight rolls around!

The party kicks off at 6:30 p.m. when we'll close out 2017 with fireworks (weather permitting). At 8 p.m., we'll countdown until midnight as part of our Fireworks Extravaganza! So come out and make resolutions for 2018 in style with friends who care about you—and maybe even some new ones too!
