Gulmarg is one of the most beautiful places to visit in Kashmir. The valley is surrounded by snow-capped peaks and glaciers that are made up of snow every winter and summer season. It is also home to a number of lakes which make it a perfect vacation spot for nature lovers! Here are some of the wonderful places you can visit while on vacation in Gulmarg:
Take a Gondola ride to the peak of Mount Apharwat for breathtaking views. The ride is a fun experience and will take you through the valley, giving you a chance to see some amazing sights as well as take in some of Gulmarg's famous cuisine on your way up.
If you're looking for something different, go ahead and try eating at one of the many Gulmarg restaurants that line this area. You'll find everything from traditional dishes made with local ingredients (like lamb biryani) to fusion foods created by chefs who've studied abroad but are still inspired by their native culture (try their mango lassi!).
The Gulmarg Golf Course is one of the highest courses in the world, with a slope of 58 degrees and a course length of 18 holes. It also has a par of 72, which means that you can play this beautiful course without getting bored at all!
The maximum elevation is 3,000 feet above sea level. This makes it easy to play golf even if you’re not used to doing so or if there aren’t any hotels nearby where people can stay overnight while they enjoy their time out at these amazing places!
The valley of Gulmarg is home to many horses, which are used for a variety of reasons. They are used for transportation and recreation, as well as breeding and farming. Many tourists ride on them during their visit to the area, but it's also possible that you'll be able to take one out yourself if you're feeling adventurous!
In the winter, skiing and snowboarding are an excellent way to spend time with friends. The snowfall and scenery will be beautiful, and you can enjoy the trails on your own or with a group of people. You can also rent snowmobiles for an even more exciting ride!
In the summer, Khinmarg is a popular tourist destination for its scenic views, snow-capped mountains and lush meadows. The town is located on the banks of the river Neelum, which is a tributary of the Indus River. It has an average elevation of 1,000 meters (3,281 feet).
The trek through khilanmarg meadows can be done by any person who knows how to walk comfortably in high mountain areas.
The temple is located in the village of Bhagwati, which is about 20 kilometers from Gulmarg. It’s a popular destination for tourists and locals alike, as well as being an important pilgrimage site for Hindus who come to pray at this temple.
The Maharani Temple has a beautiful garden with many trees and flowers, making it look like something out of an old-fashioned movie set! You can also find wedding ceremonies taking place here on occasion (especially during festivals), so if you're interested in seeing that kind of thing then this might be your chance!
The area surrounding the shrine has been designated as protected land by Government authorities due to its importance as an ecological area where wildlife can thrive happily without interference from humans—and it's easy enough to access even if you don't have transportation options available (though there may still be some stairs involved). This makes it perfect for picnics or just hanging out outside your hotel room window looking down onto all those cute little monkeys jumping around below them!
Alpather Lake is a natural lake in Gulmarg, situated at the base of Mount Apharwat. It is known for its scenic beauty and has been a popular tourist destination since long. The lake is surrounded by tall mountains on all sides, making it an ideal place to relax and enjoy the scenery.
Ningle Nallah is a small village with a beautiful garden. The garden is famous for its roses and peacocks, but also monkeys in the trees!
The best way to enjoy this beautiful place is on foot or by bike. Walking through the lush green fields will give you an opportunity to take in some fresh air while appreciating nature at its finest. If you're feeling adventurous, try riding your bike down one of the paths leading out into nature!
Fishing is a great way to spend time with family and friends. It's an excellent way to get your daily dose of exercise, as well as an opportunity to relax and have fun. You can enjoy the scenic views of Gulmarg while catching fish in the Ferozepur Nallah.
Baba Reshi Shrine is a popular picnic spot located in Gulmarg. It is an area with many trees and flowers, making it a great place to relax while enjoying the scenery.
If you are planning on having a picnic at Baba Reshi Shrine, then it's best if you bring your own food and drinks so that there is no need for additional expenses during your trip!
Drang is a small village in the Gulmarg district of Jammu and Kashmir, India. It is famous for its traditional Kashmiri handicrafts and has an annual fair on the first Sunday of August. The village is located at an altitude of 2,000 m above sea level (1,927 ft).
Drang has many shops selling handicraft items such as woolen carpets, blankets, pillows and tablecloths made from woolen yarns.
The historical ruins of the ancient village of Mohin are one of the most popular destinations for travelers in Gulmarg. The site has been a popular tourist destination since 1926, when it was discovered by British archaeologists. The ruins date back to around 2,000 BC and include Temples and pilgrimage sites in Gulmarg that have been carved out from solid rock using only tools such as axes and hammers.
While visiting these sites you can see how people lived during this time period by seeing what foods they ate or how they decorated their homes with colorful paintings on their walls or floors (if there were any). You will also get to learn more about their culture through artifacts such as pottery shards, coins minted during those times, weapons used by warriors etc…
Strawberry Valley is a natural wonder in the Khardung La area of Gulmarg. It is a place to relax and enjoy nature, as well as the scenic beauty of this valley. There are numerous waterfalls and springs that flow into several streams that flow into one another before disappearing into their underground channels. These streams give birth to small lakes along their banks, which provide a great habitat for many birds, insects and other animals such as rabbits or foxes (which live here). The area around these lakes also serves as grazing ground for cattle during summer months due to its high grass density; hence it makes for excellent pastures for livestock farming purposes too!
