Sonamarg is a town in the state of Jammu and Kashmir. It is located at an altitude of 1350 m above sea level. Thajiwas Glacier is located near Sonamarg and Baltal Valley is also nearby. The Thajiwas Glacier is one of the most beautiful places in Sonamarg. It is located at an elevation of 3,000 meters above sea level and it's a glacier lake. You can enjoy a picnic here with your family or friends by renting boats and riding on them across this lake.

The Zoji La Pass is located at an altitude of 2,400 meters. It is the highest pass in India and Himachal Pradesh, thus it has a beautiful view of snow-clad mountains.
The trek to reach this point can be done by walking through forests or via horseback riding. However, if you wish to avoid any risk while climbing up this mountain peak then hiring an experienced guide will be helpful for your safety during your trip here!
Vishansar Lake is a picturesque lake in the Sonamarg Wildlife Sanctuary. It is located at a distance of about 11 km from Sonamarg and can be reached by road or by boat on the river Siwan. The lake has been created by constructing an embankment to prevent the erosion caused by floods, which were once frequent in this region due to its proximity to the Ganges River basin.
The lake has an area of 4 acres with depths ranging between 1 and 8 feet (0.3 m). The sides of this beautiful water body are lined with tall trees that provide shade for visitors during hot summer days when temperatures rise considerably higher than normal levels seen in other parts of India during June/July each year .
Baltal Valley is a scenic valley in the Kargil district of Jammu and Kashmir. The valley is located at a distance of 5 km from Baltal town. The valley looks like an open-air museum with its spectacular snow-capped mountains, lush green forests and picturesque waterfalls that cascade down from heights up to 1,200 metres (3,900 ft).
The trekking trails through this region are popular among tourists who come here to explore its natural beauty.
Gangabal Lake is a beautiful place to visit. It’s located in Sonamarg, which is one of the most popular tourist destinations in India. The lake and its surroundings have been declared as a protected area under the Wildlife Protection Act 1972.
Gangabal Lake has an area of over 200 hectares and is fed by two rivers: Gomti through its middle and Manikarnika through its south-eastern side. A small waterfall flows into this lake from its northern end, making it look like an underwater waterfall when viewed from above ground level!
Krishnasar Lake is a beautiful lake located in Sonamarg. This lake is also known as "Krishnasar Lake" and it is one of the best places to visit in Sonamarg. It is located at an altitude of about 2,000 meters above sea level near the town of Sonamarg, which was earlier called Sanaullahpur but now known as Uttawar-Sonamarg. This lake offers visitors a great opportunity to enjoy their time while they are here because there are many things that they can do such as taking boat rides on this lake or even climbing mountains nearby if they want something more challenging than just relaxing by the water!
The name “Krishnasar” comes from two words: Krishnacharam meaning 'lake of Lord Krishna' and Saravana meaning 'beautiful'.
Nichnai Pass is a pass in the Himalayas. It lies at an elevation of about 4,800 m (16,780 ft) above sea level, and connects China with India. The road through this pass is also known as China-India border road or Friendship Highway.
The road was built in 1954 along with its predecessor that was built during World War II by British troops to give access to Ladakh from either side of what was then called 'Ladakhi' territory (now parts of Sino-Indian border), which included both sides of Chumbi valley but primarily consisted of Baltistan region in Pakistan today.[2][3] In 1962 when India became independent from Britain after about two decades under their rule, they took over these roads which had been built by British troops during World War II before independence; however since then there has been no maintenance done on them since they were taken over by Indians.[4]
Baltal to Amarnath Cave Trek is a wonderful place to visit in Sonamarg. It is a beautiful place to visit in Sonamarg that is full of nature and beauty. The trek starts from Baltal, which lies on the bank of river Chenab and ends at Amarnath cave situated at an altitude of 4180 meters above sea level (ASL). You can take your pick from two routes: one via Bander Tso which takes around 4-5 hours; or second via Kandi route which takes around 6 hours. The best time for this trek is between October through May where you will be able to enjoy pleasant weather conditions with cool breeze blowing down from snow-capped mountains surrounding you throughout your journey!
Gadsar Lake is located in Sonamarg, Jammu and Kashmir. It has been formed by a dam. The lake is surrounded by beautiful mountains that provide great views for tourists to visit on their way to or from the lake.
The lake has many species of birds and other animals that can be seen at its shores such as ducks, geese, swans and many more. To reach this place you need not hire an auto-rickshaw or taxi but instead take train services available on daily basis so that you don't have any trouble finding good accommodation near railway station where most people stay during weekends or holidays like Christmas Eve etcetera because hotels are full then too!

Thajiwas Wildlife Sanctuary is located in the Sonamarg district of Jammu and Kashmir. It is a protected area with a total area of 2,185 km2. The sanctuary is famous for its unique flora and fauna including rare species of birds, mammals and reptiles such as Indian leopard, Himalayan black bear and snow leopard.
The sanctuary also has some beautiful waterfalls like Samloh waterfall which gives you an opportunity to enjoy your time with family or friends by taking some pictures there.
Tarsar Lake is located in Sonamarg, Jammu and Kashmir. It is a lake that has been created by the construction of a dam at Tarsar Falls. The lake was named after the daughter of Raja Tarsari, who built it for his pleasure and comfort.
The lake's water level can change dramatically as seasons go by, depending on rainfall and snow melt levels during winter months (which help fill reservoirs upstream). In summertime when there are less rains or snow melts, you might find yourself swimming right into an empty beach if you're lucky enough to be visiting during this time period!
The Nilagrad River is a river in Himachal Pradesh, India. It rises from the Shivalik hills near Nahan and flows eastward through Bilaspur district to join the Beas River at Kangra.
The Nilagrad drains an area of about 2160 square miles (5200 km2) in the northern part of Himachal Pradesh.[1] It flows through Pauri Garhwal and Kullu-Manali districts before entering the Beas River at Kangra
