Tipu succeeded his father after becoming military leader during battle against British forces led by Colonel William Stewart in 1790s AD; however after losing fight with them he went into exile due to fear of imprisonment or execution by British authorities if captured alive despite being acquitted later on appeal against conviction by higher court!!!
