Scenic mountain views & trekking trails.

The village is surrounded by mountains and offers breathtaking views. It's also possible to see Lachung from the river, where you can enjoy a nice trip on the boat or take a walk along one of many trails that lead up into the hills. You may even spot some monks wandering around in their orange robes!

When it comes down to it, there are so many ways for you to explore this beautiful region: climb up into the mountains with trekking poles in hand; take some photos at sunset; go fishing along one of several lakes nearby (and catch yourself dinner); visit an ancient monastery where they once lived as homeless people before becoming ordained monks—you'll find something exciting every day here!

Visit the Yumthang Valley for hot springs.

Hot springs are a popular destination for tourists, as they provide a great place to relax and spend time with family. The Yumthang Valley is home to several hot springs that have been attracting patronage since ancient times. A visit to these natural wonders will allow you an opportunity to learn about the local culture, which can be beneficial when traveling through this region of Tibet.

Experience Lachung's unique culture & cuisine.

The Lachung culture is one of the most unique in all of India, and it's easy to see why: the people here are friendly and welcoming. They love to dance and sing, which makes for a memorable experience if you're visiting with family or friends.

The cuisine here is also quite different from that found elsewhere in India—which means that everyone can enjoy it! If you're looking for something new, try some traditional dishes like momos (dumplings) or noodles that are prepared using vegetables like spinach and potatoes instead of meat..

Explore the Lachung Monastery.

Lachung Monastery is a place of worship, learning, relaxation and meditation. It is also a place that provides you with an opportunity to experience prayer and contemplation.

The monastery was established in 1642 by Lama Zangpo Rinpoche as a retreat center for Tibetan Buddhists who seek spiritual growth through religious practice or study. Today it houses more than 1,000 monks in its residential buildings which include guesthouses where visitors can stay overnight while visiting Lachung Monastery or traveling on pilgrimage (see below).

At the heart of this beautiful monastery sits the gompa (monastery) where many ceremonies take place each year such as Lam Rim teachings from lamas from around Tibet including Lama Tsongkhapa (1204-1364), Milarepa (1052-1135), Taklung Tsetrul Rinpoche etc.; dharma discourses given by renowned teachers; Buddhist rituals performed by monks including stupa burning ceremonies conducted every five years during April/May period when thousands gather together at this sacred site located near Lachung town centre where pilgrims come on pilgrimage every year after completing their pujas at nearby Lachung Temples and pilgrimage sites along route

Witness the Lachung Chu River.

The Lachung Chu is a tributary of the Bhagirathi River. It has become a popular destination for tourists and locals alike because of its beauty, cleanliness and history that goes back centuries.

The Lachung Chu originates from the Himalayas in Nepal, flows through Sikkim and Assam before reaching Bhutan where it flows into the Manas River at Phuentsholing (Thimphu). The largest tributary to join this river is called Zalong Chhu which joins it near Thimpu’s royal palace grounds called Tashichho Dzong.

Attend the Lachung Yak Festival.

The Lachung yak festival is held in the first week of January. It's a great opportunity to meet local people and learn about their culture. The Yak are celebrated with dances, songs, and music performed by different groups from across Nepal.

The Yak Festival is held over several days but it starts on Friday and ends Sunday morning. On Sunday morning you can watch them being decorated with flowers before they are released into their pasture where they will be fed fruit by villagers who come to celebrate this special occasion!

This festival brings together family members from all around Nepal who come together to celebrate one thing-Yaks! You'll see people dancing around poles or even riding on them like those crazy kids in movies who ride motorcycles without helmets (don't try this at home).

Photograph the gorgeous Lachung Gompa.

The Lachung Gompa is a Buddhist monastery that was built in the 17th century. It has been restored several times and is open to visitors year round.

The gompa has an interesting history: it was originally built by King Yeshe Tsogyal, who was also known as Lama Drakpa Gyeltsen (Choying Dorje). He had traveled all over Tibet and studied with many lamas before settling down in Lachung Valley where he founded this monastery.

Today, the gompa offers meditation classes for visitors so they can experience what Buddhism is about through meditation practices like “mindfulness” or “mind control” exercises (like breathing techniques). You can even take classes from experienced monks who will teach you how to meditate effectively!

Enjoy winter sports like skiing & snowboarding.

Lachung is a great place to enjoy winter sports like skiing and snowboarding. While skiing, you can explore the beautiful forests, rivers and lakes of this region. In the morning when the sun comes out you will find yourself having breakfast on top of a mountain peak overlooking all that nature has to offer; this is definitely one of my favorite parts about living here!

There are two main types of snow: hardpack (which is firmer) and wetter powder (which is softer). If you're looking for something challenging then try riding down some fresh powder!

Bird-watching opportunities.

Lachung is a good place to bird watch. The rich diversity of birds and their habitats in Lachung makes it an ideal place for bird watching, especially during winter season when the weather is cold.

In addition to this, you can also enjoy hiking on trails that are specially created for bird watchers like me as I love to go for walks with my camera so that I can capture pictures of different species of birds which would be really helpful later on when I try out my photos on social media sites such as Instagram or Twitter!
