This tower was built by Rana Sanga after he defeated his brother Shakuni at this very place in 1459 AD. It was named after him as ‘Vijay’ meaning ‘victory’ in Sanskrit. It has been restored several times over the years but still retains some of its original features including some beautiful carvings on its walls and pillars.
The Vijay Stambh is located just next to another famous attraction - The Raibarba Lake which houses many species of birds including peacocks! You may also want to visit Killa Raj Temple which contains paintings depicting scenes from Hindu mythology as well as images related with Killa Raj himself (a Rajput king).
The Kirti Stambh, a 12th-century tower, is located in the Chittorgarh Fort. The structure is decorated with intricate carvings and statues of Jain Tirthankaras.

The king commissioned this complex as his summer residence during his period as ruler of Chittorgarh State from 1782 to 1843 CE when he shifted his capital from Mandore near Udaipur to its present location at Fatehabad Cantonment area in Uttar Pradesh state in northern India .
