Someshwara Temple is a Hindu temple dedicated to the god Someshwara. It is located in the town of Kolar and considered to be one of the most famous temples in India. Kaivara Temple is a Hindu temple dedicated to Lord Narasimha, the first incarnation of Vishnu. It is located in the Kolar district of Karnataka, India.
The temple was built by King Harshavardhana during his reign in the 6th century CE and consists of a massive monolithic structure with a square plan and an outer wall surrounding it. The main deity housed within this temple is believed to be that of Lord Narasimha (also known as Narsingh), who resides here along with his consort Mahalakshmi on their eleventh day after being born from Brahma's thumbprint on Karttikeya's head at Prayag (Prayag).
