Diwali is the festival of lights and its significance in Delhi. It is celebrated on the night of Diwali, which falls on the last day of autumn. The festival celebrates the victory of good over evil, light over darkness, knowledge over ignorance, peace over war and love over hatred.
The festival begins with lighting candles to wish for prosperity, happiness and health to all beings throughout India as well as abroad during this auspicious occasion. Fireworks are also lit after which people gather at various places like parks or public squares where they participate in parades with colorful costumes while playing drums or singing songs praising Lord Rama or Lakshmana (wife) Sita Rama respectively depending upon region they live in.
Holi is a spring festival celebrated in Delhi, India. It is one of the most popular festivals in India and one of the oldest Holi celebrations takes place at Rang Puri on the banks of river Yamuna where people take a dip in its water with colored powder or water mixed with other ingredients like turmeric powder and clay etc., which makes it look like blood stains on them.
Navratri is a festival celebrated by Hindus, Sikhs and Jains. It is celebrated in the autumn months of September to November. Navratri is a nine-day festival dedicated to the worship of goddesses and typically falls during one of four main phases: `Navrati (the bright half), Shukla Paksha (the waxing moon), Kalyug (an era signifying decline) and Treta Yuga (an age when righteousness prevails).
The festival begins with "Tarpan" or offering prayers at nightfall on each day for prosperity for all beings in their respective homes at home or abroad as well as at work place or any other location where these people reside throughout India including Delhi where most of us live now days so let's see how do we get started today?
On 26 January each year, the Republic Day parade is held in Delhi. It is the largest military parade in the world and has been held since 1962. The parade commemorates the 63rd anniversary of Indian independence movement from British rule and celebrates Indian culture by showcasing various traditional arts from all over India.
The event also includes cultural performances such as dances, music shows, martial arts displays as well as fireworks displays at Rajpath near Rashtrapati Bhavan (Presidential Palace) where former President Pranab Mukherjee delivers his annual radio address before proceeding towards Vijay Gaurav Smarak (Victory Column).
The International Yoga Festival is a cultural festival that promotes the practice of yoga. It is held in Delhi every year in February, and it's one of the biggest events on that month. The festival features performances by leading artists from India and abroad, as well as workshops on yoga theory and practice.
The venue for this event is the Qutub Minar complex where you can also find other exhibitions, fairs and exhibitions related to art and culture.

Qutub Festival, or the Qutub Festival, is a cultural festival held at the Qutub Minar complex every year in March. It celebrates the birth of Qutbuddin Aibak and his rule over Delhi during 1210 to 1256 CE.
The Delhi Food Festival is an annual event that brings together the best of Delhi's cuisine. It is held at India Gate, which has been voted as one of the world's most iconic monuments. The festival showcases the most popular dishes from different regions in India and includes stalls selling local delicacies like bhatura, tandoori chicken or kulfi during this period. The festival also hosts concerts by local musicians who perform for free during their performances.

The Delhi Literature Festival (DLF), is a celebration of literature in the Capital city. It takes place every year at the India International Centre and is held over three days. The festival began way back in 2009 as an annual event, but has now become an important platform for writers from all over India as well as those who live abroad to meet and discuss their work with others in their field. The DLF features talks, panel discussions, workshops and seminars on various topics relating to literature; these include history books from ancient times till now; fiction; non-fiction; poetry etc.
The Delhi International Film Festival (DIFF) is an annual film festival held in Delhi, India. It was established in 1971 and is one of the largest film festivals in Asia.[1] The Festival of Movies takes place every year during March at National Centre for Performing Arts (NCPA), New Delhi.[2][3]
The festival screens over 500 films from all over world as well as Indian independent productions.[4] The 2010 edition featured 111 feature films from 40 countries including South Korea's first animated feature length film,[5] "My Sassy Girl",[6] directed by Lee Chang-dong.[7][8]
Comic books are a type of graphic novel that contains illustrations and text. They were originally published in the 1930s, but they've become increasingly popular over the years. The Delhi Book Fair is held every year in January and is one of the most important book festivals in India. It brings together publishers and book lovers from around the world to celebrate literature, art, culture and education. The fair has been organised by DC Books Pvt Ltd since 2001 as a platform for publishers to display their latest titles for sale to consumers at reasonable prices.
The event also serves as a forum for authors who want to show off their work before an audience of readers keen on discovering new voices or genres from beyond India's borders (and sometimes even within).
Mango festival is an annual event in Delhi. The festival celebrates the king of fruits, mangoes. It is held every year at the Qutub Minar complex and attracts thousands of visitors from all over India as well as abroad.
The festival was started in 1943 by a group of women who felt that there should be some recognition for this fruit which was being grown successfully in their backyard gardens during World War II. The first Mango Festival took place on February 28th, 1943 when approximately 2000 people attended it on an open field near Connaught Place where today we have one large stage with live music performances every evening between 6 pm - 10 pm (Indian Standard Time).
The Surajkund Crafts Mela is an annual event that showcases the traditional crafts of India. It's held at Hemkunt Sahib Gurdwara in Srinagar, Punjab and attracts lakhs of visitors every year. The main aim for organizing this festival is to promote local artisans and their products, which can be bought at affordable prices during the festival.
