Gir National Park is a protected area in the Indian state of Gujarat. It is situated in the Gir Forest Division of the Saurashtra region of Gujarat.
It has an area of 1,684 km2 (656 sq mi) and was established on 30 October 1960 by an order of Haryana Forest Development Corporation.[1] The park has been declared as a biosphere reserve by UNESCO and is also home to many species that are endangered or threatened with extinction.[2][3][4]
