The Gorumara National Park is a protected area in Jalpaiguri district of West Bengal, India. It is home to a variety of wildlife including tigers and leopards. The park was declared a tiger reserve in 1992 by the Government of India under Project Tiger on 28 January 1994 with an outlay of Rs 12 crore (US$1 million).
The park covers an area of 40 km2 and has nine forest divisions: Chorapal, Debagarh Forest Division, Sirgora Forest Division, Kamalpur Forest Division; Udhagamandalam Forest division; Kahirabari Forest division; Kajuraho Block & Goaltore block headquarters offices which are surrounded by dense forest cover with trees like sal forests and other lotus flower species etc.
The Subhamoy Reserve Forest is a forest reserve located in the Jalpaiguri Banks and ATMs District of West Bengal. It is one of the oldest reserves in India and has been under protection from 1972, when it was declared as a wildlife sanctuary by Kerala Govt. The first thing that you should know about Jalpaiguri is that it was founded in 1686 by Mir Jumla who was a general under Aurangzeb's army during the Mughal rule over India. Later on, after his death in 1705, his son Syed Mir Hussain Shah took over as ruler until 1721 when he passed away leaving behind two sons named Nawab Khwaja Mahomed Baqi Khan (Nawab) who became independent from Delhi Sultanate along with his brother Nawab Khwaja Mohiuddin Baqi Khan (Nawab). The two brothers ruled independently until their deaths which occurred in 1838-39 respectively when they were succeeded by their sons - Sayyid Muhammed Hasan Akbar Shah II; Sayyid Ahmad Naseruddin; Asadullah Shah III etc..

It was once known as “The Queen’s City” because Queen Victoria visited this place during her visit in India in 1867. She stayed at Hotel Arya Bhawan Palace for 5 days before leaving for Kolkata (Calcutta).
