Wonderful Places to Visit in Kudremukh

Kudremukh National Park is a wildlife reserve and nature sanctuary located in the Western Ghats of Karnataka, India. It is a popular destination for tourists because of its lush forests and waterfalls.

Kudremukh National Park

Kudremukh National Park is a national park in Karnataka, India. It was established on 15 March 2009 as the first protected area in Karnataka and second in South India after Andhra Pradesh's Palnamalai Tiger Reserve. The park lies in the Western Ghats of Karnataka and its total area is 2,844 km² (1,100 sq mi). It is spread over three districts – Koppal (52%), Yadgir (30%) and Dharwad (18%).

Hanuman Gundi Falls

Hanuman Gundi Falls is a waterfall located in the village of Hanuman Gundi, Kudremukh Taluk, Karnataka. It is one of the most famous waterfalls in Karnataka and it can be reached by road from Kudremukh town or by ferry boat from Gangavathi town. The falls are flooded during monsoon season but they remain open throughout other seasons due to its artificial construction.

There are two ways to reach this place: either by car or by water taxi. If you choose to go this way then you will have access to both forests as well as beaches along with an unforgettable view over waterfalls!

Kalasa

Kalasa is a small town in Kudremukh Taluk, Uttara Kannada district, Karnataka. It is located on the bank of the River Tunga and is surrounded by hills. The main occupation for people here has been farming since time immemorial.

Kalasa’s geographical location makes it ideal for tourism as one can enjoy all kinds of nature's beauty from here including flora and fauna to wildlife species like elephants and deer etc., which attract tourists from all over India

Kadambi Waterfalls

Kadambi Waterfalls is a beautiful waterfall in Kudremukh. The waterfall is located in the Kudremukh National Garden and Parks and at a distance of 20km from Kudremukh town. The waterfall has been named after the village called Kadambi which is situated adjacent to it. There are several other waterfalls in this area like Haladi Waterfall, Vadkalama Falls, Narayanapura Falls etc., but they are not as famous as Kadambi Waterfall

Gangamoola Hill

Gangamoola Hill is within Kudremukh National Park. It's a popular tourist attraction, and it's also one of the best places to go hiking in this region. The trail up Gangamoola Hill is relatively easy, but climbing it can be strenuous depending on how far you're willing to go.

Kudremukh Peak

Kudremukh Peak is a mountain in the Western Ghats in the state of Karnataka. The peak is located in the Kudremukh National Park, which was declared as a tiger reserve in 1992 and covers an area of 617 km2.

The peak is also known as "Everest of India". It has an elevation of 1073 m above sea level and rises from its base at an altitude of 400 meters above sea level to its summit at 1606 metres (5654 feet).

Ballalarayana Durga Fort

Ballalarayana Durga Fort is a fort in Ballalarayana, Kudremukh, Karnataka. It is located on the top of a hillock and it was built by Banda Nayaka who ruled this place from 1358 to 1414 AD. The fort has been named after his wife who was known as “Ballalarayana” (renowned queen). This fort has been renovated several times by different rulers over the years but still retains its original look today.

The main entrance gateways into this fort are called “Gaddi” or “Sala” meaning room or chamber respectively where you can find yourself engulfed in its beautiful ambiance with lush greenery surrounding you all around!

Hebbe Falls

Hebbe Falls is a waterfall in the Kudremukh National Park, located at the southern part of Karnataka, India. It is known for its scenic beauty and rich flora and fauna.

Hebbe Falls was declared as one of the 25 most beautiful waterfalls in India by Forbes Travel Guide to Asia edition for its picturesque view. This popular tourist destination offers tourists an opportunity to enjoy nature at its best with lush greenery all around them. The area surrounding Hebbe Falls has been declared as a conservation area under Gazette notification dated 22nd December 2012 by Government of Karnataka which prohibits any construction activity within 1km radius from this place except for road construction works carried out under government approval such as widening roads etc...

Sringeri Sharada Peetham

Sringeri Sharada Peetham is a famous temple in Sringeri, Karnataka. It is dedicated to the goddess Sharada and is located at the foot of the Vindhyas. The temple has been built by worshippers who follow the Sharada sect, which believes that there exists only one God who can be reached through meditation or prayer.

The temple contains several ancient statues and paintings depicting different episodes from Hindu mythology as well as Ganesh's elephant head sculpture inside its mandapa (hall). The interior also displays sculptures representing various gods including Shiva, Vishnu and Hanuman on their mounts while they are riding on their respective elephants—Adisesha (elephant), Nandi (bull), Bhima (hindi warrior) etc.,

Lakhya Dam

Lakhya Dam is a dam located in Kudremukh, Karnataka. It is a multipurpose dam built across the River Lakhya. The gravity dam was constructed between 1960 and 1964, which has an installed capacity of 1,200 MW and can store approximately 1220 million cubic metres of water.

The major purpose for constructing this massive reservoir was to provide drinking water to people who lived around its vicinity as well as power generation from hydroelectricity.[1]

Baba Budangiri

Baba Budangiri is a temple dedicated to Lord Shiva, located in Bijapur district of Karnataka. It was built by the king of Vijayanagara Empire in 1530 and has been declared as a protected monument by Archaeological Survey of India (ASI).

The temple is built on top of an extinct volcano with steps leading up to it which gives it an impressive look from afar. Inside you will find statues of both Hindu gods and goddesses along with images of Garuda and Nandi - two horses that accompany Vishnu on his mount Garuda during his daily journey across heaven and earth.

Annapoorneshwari Temple

Annapoorneshwari Temple, also known as Annavaram Temple, is a Hindu temple dedicated to the goddess Annapoorneshwari. The temple is located in the town of Annavaram, in Kurnool district, Andhra Pradesh.

The patron deity of this temple is Swarna Kamakshi Ammavaru (the red-eyed white form). She is depicted holding a golden lotus flower as her weapon.

Malleswara Temple

Malleswara Temple is a temple dedicated to Lord Shiva. It is located in the town of Kudremukh in Karnataka and it is one of the most famous pilgrimage destinations for Hindus all over India. The temple was built by King Kalyana Malleswara of Vijayanagar Empire during 1490-1512 AD who ruled from Hampi (now called Hospet).

The architecture of this ancient temple has been influenced by South Indian style with pillars and roofs resembling those found at Chidambaram Temples and pilgrimage sites which are also considered sacred by devotees visiting this place every year
