Solan is a city in the Indian state of Himachal Pradesh. It is the administrative headquarters of Solan district and is located at an altitude of 3,500 metres (11,500 feet). Solan is known for its Hospitals and medical centers and food which has a wide variety of cuisines from all over India.
Solan is a place of peace and harmony, where people come together to celebrate their rich culture. The city has a long history of festivals, which are held annually in different parts of the town. Here are some popular ones:
Solan Festival - This festival features cultural programs like dance, music performances and food stalls. It is held during February every year at various locations around Solan city including Chowk Bazaar, Kailash Colony etc., but most popularly on Shri Krishna Janma Karma Puraskar (SKJP) Road near College Street Bridge behind Town Hall building.
Udayam Festivals - This festival includes folk songs from different regions like Delhi Gharana; Solanki Gharana; Malwai Gharana etc.; folk dances like jamakurra kathakali; Kathagadu Kathakali etc.; horse riding competitions etc., along with traditional social activities such as nagarjunasthambam etc..
The Solan Food Festival is a food festival held in Solan. The festival is held in the month of April, and it's held at the Solan Gymkhana ground.
The event aims to promote healthy eating habits among people of all age groups, as well as encourage them to take up cooking as an art form that can be enjoyed by everyone.
Solan Summer Festival is the annual cultural festival of Solan city. It will be held on August 15th, 16th and 17th in 2019.
The venue of the event is “Tarun tola” (Tarun Tomb) which is situated at a distance of 3km from Solan bus stand.
The entrance fee for adults is Rs 50/- and children can get in for Rs 20/- per head. There are no extra charges for parking or food stalls during this festival; however there may be some shortages if it rains heavily on that day!
The Solan Winter Carnival is held in the first week of December. It's a huge celebration with floats, parades and other events going on all over town. There are also fun activities for kids like ice sculptures and skits by local actors. The festival has been running for decades so there's no shortage of history behind it!
Solan Adventure Fest is a festival of adventure sports and adventure tourism. It is organized by the Solan Adventure Sports Association (SASA). The festival will be held at the end of October every year in Solan, Himachal Pradesh.
The main objective behind organizing this event is to promote tourism in the region by attracting tourists from all over India as well as abroad
Solan is a place of worship for many religions. Hindus, Muslims and Christians are the main religious communities that live in Solan. The Hindus are mainly worshiping at the temples or shrines of their deities. In addition to this there are several other Temples and pilgrimage sites which have been built by devotees over time due to their devotion towards these deities. These include Jain temples where Buddha statues are installed inside them along with other religious artifacts related to various Jain beliefs such as idols depicting Gtmane Savarkar (the founder of Hindu Mahasabha movement) standing on top of his throne with his sword drawn ready for battle against evil forces that may come from outside world like demons etc..
The Solan Film Festival is held in the city of Solan. The festival is held in November, and it was founded in 2006 by Gopal Prasad Singh. It is an annual film event that showcases movies from around the world and features many different genres including action, drama, thriller and comedy films.

The Solan Handicrafts Fair is a festival that aims to promote the handcrafts of local artisans. It is held annually in late February or early March and attracts over 20 thousand tourists from all over India.

The Solan Wine and Cheese Festival is a culinary celebration of all things wine, cheese and food. It's held in October each year at the Hyatt Regency Sonoma County, which also hosts the county’s largest winery. The festival features over 20 vintners from all over California, as well as artisanal cheesemakers and other producers. Visitors can sample wines by the glass or sip on an expertly paired meal; there are also food trucks serving up everything from grilled cheese sandwiches to handmade soups made with local produce. There are live music performances throughout the day — start off your weekend with some tunes from local bands!
The festival is open from 11am-6pm daily until Thursday morning (or until supplies run out).
